When you create a KarKare account, we collect your name and email address via Clerk authentication. When you add vehicles, we store the vehicle details, maintenance records, mileage logs, and any photos you upload. If you subscribe to a paid plan, your payment is processed by Stripe — we never store your card details.
We use your information solely to provide the KarKare service: tracking your vehicles, generating AI-powered maintenance insights, sending optional service reminders, and processing your subscription. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.
When you use the AI Copilot or Vision Diagnostics, your vehicle context and messages are sent to our AI providers (Google Gemini, Anthropic, or OpenRouter) to generate responses. These interactions may be used to improve AI models per those providers' terms. We store a vehicle-specific memory summary (max 3,000 characters) to improve future responses for your car.
Your data is stored in a secure PostgreSQL database hosted on Supabase. Vehicle photos are stored via UploadThing. We implement industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections, authentication via Clerk, and row-level data scoping to your user ID.
KarKare integrates with the following third-party services: Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), Supabase (database), UploadThing (file storage), Google Gemini (AI), Anthropic (AI), and Smartcar (vehicle telemetry for eligible plans). Each provider operates under their own privacy policy.
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. You may delete individual vehicles, maintenance records, and photos from your dashboard at any time. To request full account deletion, contact us at the email below and we will remove all your data within 30 days.
KarKare uses only essential cookies required for authentication and session management via Clerk. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
